  • Wow... this has definitely been a while.

I swear, I'm writing less and less as time goes on. Been helluva while since I've written here. Thought I do an update since it's Chinese New Years eve, or Lunar New Years eve.

College has been alright. Very stressful and requires alot of concentration. But for now, I've survived the first semester.

Got an apartment for this year's college. Don't know about next year, but we'll figure it out as we get closer.

Things with the family been alright. Every time I come home from college I feel less and less closer to my family. It sucks, but maybe it's just me growing up, who knows.

Things with girlfriend has also been alright. Went through a tough time recently, with me and these random feelings of apathy, and sudden lost of feeling for her (scaring me pretty bad right now) and what not. It's really concerning, and I will probably see the school psychologist about it. But for now, I'm convinced (or I'm convincing myself, which ever is more right) that the random feelings are probably from this heartburn that I keep on feeling. And yea, this heartburn does make me think irrationally.

Other than that, I don't have anything else to complain about. Life goes on right?

Oh and bought a shit load of stuff on Steam and help pay for Saints Row the Third. YEEEAAAAAAAAA!

Payce out, one love, and all that good shizznat.

  • This took so long to write...

Okay, before I forget, yes I am in college.

Good, that's done. On to the other stuff.

I had a more detailed write up that I started like a month ago, but I've been lazy/Internet at school is slow/No time and was not able to finish, so I'm scraping it and just doing a quick write up.

College is doing great, everything is siuatiaded. Classes are great, cept for Math. Teacher is hella nice, my "colleagues" are jackasses and dumb broads. Yea, I said it. My art classes are hella chill, teachers are cool, and the other students are nice. I's making a 3d Infection Flood in my 3d Art class! It's pretty cool. Other than that, classes are going smoothly, just gotta make sure not to mess or screw up.

The dorm food is alright. They have some nice variety from day to day, also with certain staples they always have (cereal, fruits, salad, hotdogs, the usual stuff). From time to time they have some exotic food, which is nice. I also get free Tully's and Jamba Juice, and also as much as I want. And some stuff we can order to go, so those sandwiches and clubs are sometimes sitting in the fridge to eat later.

The campus is very nice. It's not too differnt from Logan. Being from Logan helps because I'm used to the size of the school.  Walking across campus is no harder than walking across Logan. I guess maybe people just don't walk as fast as me.

I'm also now working out more often, which is good. Cindy always noticing my muscles more tone, which is enough inspiration to work out. That, and my dorm-mate is pushing me as well, so its all good. I work out Tues and Thurs every week, and I do just about everything, from upper-body work to cardio. Don't want that freshman 15, ya know?

So yea, friends come by every now and then, me and my dorm mate are cool with everyone around us. We all are very chill, and just laid back. Still waiting for Cindy and my grandma to visit the dorm, so I can post up posters or something without her knowing.

But yea, obvious as it is, I do miss Cindy every week. Kinda hard not to miss someone that special and important in my life. Anytime I have time with her, I spend it to the fullest. Don't get me wrong, I have my priorities, but having someone to hold once a week and to tell them how great they are, and have it done back to you is something better than one can ask for. There are over 31,000 students in SJSU, a little bit more than half are females, and none are comparable to her. I'm dam lucky to be with someone like her. Dam Lucky. Lol her touch always lifts my spirits, always.

But yea, that's the college update. And heres a few more things:

-Two rounds of bowling for $1: Tuesday bowling

    -Large arcade

-N64 :Super Smash Brothers in the dorm

-Visiting cousins that also go to the school

-Free admission for all VTA Buses

And that's about it. Give me another couple of months, and I'll update again.

Payce out ya'll (haven't said that for a while).

    -Love ya babe.

  • Summertime, oh how time flies.

Man... It's summertime. No more school, no more projects, no nothing. Everything is done, finished, over.

Goodbye being teenager/kid. I knew ye well.

Man, been so long since I've updated, and so many things to talk about. Ehh, I'll just hit with the basics:

-Prom was great, hella a hell of a time. Limo for the first time, which was nice.

-Done with High School! Goodbye Logan! Dam, already 4 years.

-Senior Picnic was fun. Went with my great friends

-Went on my first roller-coaster at Senior Picnic, from which I pulled my groin. Don't ask how.

-Graduation was a success. Had a great time at Maria's party, and at Cindy's family dinner.

-Oh yea, and I'm also a boyfriend to Cindy. And yes, she's my girlfriend.

-Watched Prince of Persia with Cindy, which was pretty good.

-Went swimming, which was even nicer.

Oh man, so much to say, so little time. Summer now feels like a mix of Saturdays and Sundays. Best of all, nothing to really worry about. No school, projects, deadlines, nothing. Just all "My" time.

    I'm working on:

-Hidden Blade (almost done, just refinements)

    -PVC/Pipe Cannon (Prototype stage)

    -Homemade Bokken (Schematic stage)

    -Pump BB gun (Prototype stage

And yea, it's all good. Summer is good to begin with. It's even greater with her.

    And yes, It's Summertime.

  • Sha Boo Bop

Yea, it's been a while since I've written a blog about just regular stuff of my life.

    Hmm, well... life's been good-ish.

Still alive, like I always say. But yea, life's alright.

The end of high school is only so far away right now. All my classes are doing alright.

-World Lit: Reading the Shakespeare play: Much Ado About Nothing. Funny, and no homework.
-AP Art: Making final push for the AP stuff right now. Somewhat stressed.
-Multimedia II: Hella easy, and fun.
-Psychology II: Pretty easy, just reading, notes, and test. Plus funny discussions.
-Multicultural Art: I'm sooo far ahead in that class, I'm doing AP Art in there to by the time.
-Econ: Pretty easy, playing the stock exchange game right now.

So yea, not exactly a hard time. Also, I'm pretty much done with all college stuff (Placement exams, housing, stuff like that). Just gotta do orientation, and I'm all good.

For some reason, and I think it's good, I've been replaying my old games, such as the Halo Trilogy, and JSRF, along with Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. It's nice to play the games, relive the moments when you first played the game, and the joy it gave. That, and truly understanding the story line after playing it a second time with more background history.

Also, I've been out of the house more, and walking/talking among my friends more, which is good. My music selection is broadening, which is good as well. Ever since Jun Seba passed away, I've been looking into work that was inspired by him, and also his tributes. Can't believe he's gone too.

Well, high school is almost over, gonna do my work now and yea.

    L8er ya'll.

  • Jet Set Radio!!!!!!!

I remember when I first got my Xbox, one of the games we were dying to get we're a game that definitely made an impact in my life. Now this game, some have said it's a classic and even revolutionary. Others have said it is nothing but a remake, and an imitation of a crime. To me, this game was one of the games that changed my view of music, and my respect for inline skates. I'm talking about:

    Jet Set Radio Future

This was one hell of a game. The graphics at the time we're using what is called "Cel-Shading." Cel-Shading was a way of shading where the shading didn't blend into the surface, but was seen as a solid color. Here's an example:

    So, back to the game:

The story of the game is about a corrupt corporation, called the Rokkaku Group, has basically bought off Tokyo, especially the police force, and outlawed any freedom of speech. You are part of a group/gangs of teenage skaters called the GG's.Throughout Tokyo, there are many types of different groups/gangs in their respective turf. The main mission of the game is to cover the city in your graffiti, battle rival gangs for territory, and fight the corrupt corporation. Throughout the game, you recruit new members to build up your gang, and also take in other rival gangs into your wing as well, later on in the game, of course.

It's like going through Wal-Mart on a high speed shopping cart snatching shit... almost.
    ...

Throughout the game, you get advice from a certain DJ Professor K, who runs the pirate radio station: Jet Set Radio.

    DJ Professor K

He gives you clues and advices, as well as play a variety of music, some that no one would of heard if it weren't for this game. The developers decided that a large variety of music would help make the game feel more like how the game should be. They did the same with their previous game, Jet Grind Radio, and it was a huge success. The music in this game is far beyond what I had ever heard. You had crazy techno beats, straight lyrical rap, and also random electric rock music, which all tied into the free, independent, spirit of the characters in the game.

So, this game, when it came out, I played it non stop. I wouldn't put the controller down or quit the game (in order to quit the game, you had to close the entire Xbox... yea... like I'm gonna do that). I remember mastering how to do consqeuctive tricks when grinding, defying the laws of physics, and also tagging those corrupt policemen in their bleached white outfits, and of course the crazy Hayashi.

    Rokkaku Police Force

    Inspector Hayashi

The great thing about this game is the amount of unlockable content, such as different graffiti, characters and so forth. With collecting graffiti souls - which gives you the new graffiti- it shows how much effort the developers wanted diversify the types of graffiti. Not all graffiti are all illegible letters. Some are simple basic ones that make a statement. Others just look dam cool.

In the end, this game is one game I will never part with. This game has opened up my view upon many things, music included. It's one of those games where you grow upon, and wonder to yourself: How the hell did they add this and that into the game? The entire city is interactive, with things breaking, trash spilling, people running, and of course police out to get yea. In that game, your art was your voice, and the only way to speak your voice was to cover the authoritarian rule of the city in your graffiti. The beat of the city, the rush of skating through the city leaving a trail of art in your wake, there was no greater feeling. Now, only thing to do is to roam the streets of Tokyo until they decide to make Jet Set Radio 3, because everyone knows it's long past due one.

One more thing: Understand the "Concept of Love"
